Veterinary Receptionist Certificate

A receptionist in a veterinary office must be able to work with both humans and animals in a caring manner. The receptionist greets patients and their owners, making them feel welcome and safe. Receptionists may answer phones, schedule appointments, collect payments, and dispense medications. They communicate client and patient information to the veterinarian or veterinary technician to aid in patient care. Veterinary receptionists must have great communication and customer service skills, as every person who comes into the office will come in contact with the receptionist.
